"IWS is the global organisation owned by Australian woolgrowers. We are responsible for research, development and promotion of wool and wool products around the world. Our head office is in Australia and we have 21 branches covering 32 countries. Our purpose is to optimise the profitability of member-country woolgrowers by building and sustaining global demand for their wools along the entire wool textile pipeline, to the final consumer. We achieve this through new product development and technology transfer; marketing and promotion; and market information and analysis. Our market focus is predominantly apparel wools, given the micron profile of member-country wool exports. In our global network, highly skilled staff work closely with partners at all stages of the wool pipeline from farm to consumer to ensure that wool is known as the world's premier fibre." |
